Book Review: Till We Have Faces

Till We Have Faces: A Novel of Cupid and PsycheTill We Have Faces: A Novel of Cupid and Psyche by C.S. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A stunning read. I felt like I was immersed in the world and thought of the main character. Lewis drug me into the story and I wanted to know what was going to happen. The second part where the main character realizes her folly is amazing. Some readers might be put off by pagan setting, but Lewis uses that as a foil for a Christian world view. Really, really, good.

This is JoAnn's favorite novel, and as she recently recommended it to me, I finished it about a month ago. Great book, and I totally agree with your assessment. So much fun to pick up a book like that, I wish more were writing classic liturature today. Jennie

Let the saints be joyful in glory, let them sing aloud on their beds, let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind the kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron. Psalm 149:5-8
