Corporate Prayers for the 21st & 22nd Sundays of Trinity

Prayer of Praise: Psalm 67
Almighty God, be merciful to us and bless us and cause Your face to shine upon us, for only then will Your way be known in all the earth and Your salvation among the nations. Let all the peoples praise You, O God. Let the nations be glad and sing for joy for You have set Your Son on high, where He judges in righteousness and governs the nations of the earth. Most Holy Father, send Your Spirit an bless our worship that all the ends of the earth may fear You. This we pray through Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God world without end. Amen!

Prayer for Illumination: Psalm 119:41-48 and Jeremiah 23:29
Most Righteous God we praise You that Your Word is like a hammer that shatters rocks and like a fire that burns.  Let Your mercies come to us and Your salvation according to Your Word. Give us wisdom to keep Your law in faith and to seek out Your precepts.  Grant us grace that we might love Your commandments and find great delight in obeying them. This we pray in the name of the One whose meat and drink it was to do Your will, our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!

Eucharistic Prayers
Bread: Elijah
Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, it truly, right and good and our duty that we should at all times and in all places give You thanks and magnify Your Holy Name, therefore with the Angels, the Archangels and all the company of heaven we praise You saying, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Glory be to You, O Lord Most High.
We give You hearty thanks and praise for the prophet Elijah, who trusted in You and toppled the idols on Mt. Carmel. We give you thanks that during a drought you sent the ravens and feed him by the Brook Cherith and nourished him with bread at the widow’s house. We ask now Father, that as You fed Elijah long ago that You would feed us upon Your Son, who is meat and drink indeed, in His Name we pray, Amen!

Wine: Colossians
Blessed are You God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for You sent Your Son into the world to deliver us from the power of darkness and to redeem us through His blood. For He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation and by Him all things were created and He is the head of Your church. We ask now that as we drink You would nourish us upon Christ, so that we would walk worthy, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in knowledge of You that in the end we might come to Your eternal kingdom. In the Strong name of Christ we ask this. Amen!

Let the saints be joyful in glory, let them sing aloud on their beds, let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind the kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron. Psalm 149:5-8
